In a society where most people are connected by the internet and where information flows at a speed rate that was never seen before, we still have some social inequalities and especially between both sexes. In order to remedy this problem, we thought it would be best to put this internet to good use and adress our children all over the world and teach them about problems they will be facing or will be actors in while growing up. In opening their eyes by using pleasable means we hope to improve gender equality and make the world a better place to live in.
We also think that it would also be beneficial for the kid,since, if he is at home, it would be more productive for him to watch and read instructive content instead of playing some mind-numbing games on his parents' smartphones. They can even talk about the comics they read and the cartoons they watched with their friends and that would share the information we want to convey on a broaden public.
for whom?
This interface will be mainly focusing on reaching parents who have children at a young age (4 to 9 years of age) who know how to read or not : There will be some video content very much like cartoonic and for the more advanced ones who know how to read and are fond of comics they will also find help with what they are looking for.
what? how?
For this first idea, our project is to make a website which will act as an interface of many cartoons and comics that promote gender equality. It is more like a guide to simplify the research for parents who wnat to teach their kids about this very important issue. So the website will have many themes to chose from like : difference in wage, the right to dress as one pleases, the violence in a couple, etc... And each time you click on a theme, you will find links to cartoons and comics in relation to the subject.

This website acts as a benchmark and as a reference to our project. In fact it is a benchmark as it presents kid-friendly channels to the parents that would allow them to leave their kids watching without any supervision necessary. Some examples of these channels are Cartoon Network, Disney Channel , etc ... which, apart from entertainment offer also some kind of positive moral at the end of a cartoon. This is also the main objective of our first project: combine the useful to the pleasant.
Only with our platform, you will not have to use a TV or any other device because every link will be posted on the website and you would be able to chose the exact content you want to watch with our many rubrics of gender equality problems.
This youtube channel is also a competitor to our project because not only does it offer entertainment specific to kids about the age that we are also targetting, but also it won't need the help of a TV set or any other device because everything can be accessed through a computer and on top of all of that it offers the possibility of choosing the exact content that you want to watch.
Still, we do offer exclusively content about gender equality that, when scrolling through their videos, we did not find at all, and that is the way we differentiate ourselves with our project.
This website offers help to parents in order to buy kid-friendly comic books for their children. But it is not as convenient as our platform because for most of the advised comics in this website, the parent would have to go buy outside and buy the comic from a book store, which is not only more costly but also it might not be the solution if you want some content right now.

As it was said before this article acts also as a reference for us in our project, as it directs as to the numerous TV channels we can choose content from in relation with the gender equality.
These three animated movies will be a great resource for us as they teach kids to respect one an other no matter the sexe of the person, and we can find many scenes in which it is the girl who is the hero of the movie. This will come very handy if we pick scenes from it and make cartoons or even better some comic book readings.

At a young age, the education of our children comes mostly and mainly from the education of their parents and the adults they are confronted to daily like their teachers, baby-sitters and nannies, grandparents etc... since a kid always tend to copy the behaviour of those who are older than him and learns from their actions. In that context, we figured that in order to have the most optimized impact on children we should also instruct the adults and teach them about what it means to behave in a gender equalitarian way.
for whom?
In that context, we decided to create a social network made for adults who are confronted daily to kids (teachers,parents,grandparents,nannies etc...) so that they can live up to the expactations that the children look up to in terms of gender equality.
what? how?
This social network will have many headings for each subdivision of gender equality or experiences these adults have been through in teaching kids about gender equality. It will be a free space in which everyone can speak his mind and share his experience in an anonymous way so that there can be no judging on mistakes someone made but in the contrary, every mistake can be shared so that it won't be made again.
In our app, users can add other users as friends and view relevant personal information. We also set up a group interaction function, so that users with some specific needs can freely create or join the groups they like and discuss with people with common needs and wishes. In addition, we also share the lecture information. Users can find the information of relevant lectures on the page and make an appointment.

Facebook is also a social media, in fact, one of the most successful. Our app references a lot of Facebook elements. First of all, we use the similar interface settings, and set some function buttons below, so that users can quickly familiarize ourselves with our system and functions. In addition, we refer to some of its functions, such as adding friends and groups. We believe that that is one of the most basic functions of social media application, and it can also create more opportunities for interaction between users.
But we also have differences.Facebook has a more general use and our application is aimed to provide recourse about gender equality education to parants and others who connected to the young age. Our subject is more clear and we think only the person who really have this kind of need will use our APP. We also provide information about some relevant lectures about gerder equality to tell poeple how to educate their children. That is the service Facebook doesn't have.
Doublan is a community application,Providing information about books, movies, music and other works, whether description or review are provided by users (UGC). The website also provides a variety of service functions, such as book video recommendation, offline city activities, group topic exchange and so on. It is more like an innovative network service integrating taste system (reading, film, music), expression system (I read, I watch, I listen) and communication system (city, group, friend and neighbor). It has been committed to helping urban people find useful things in their lives.
The reason why we learn from doublan is that the operation mode of our app is very similar to it. We also want to provide a platform for users to share and discuss a specific topic and get inspiration form that. In the design of app, we refer to the SHARE and GROUP interface of double. In the SHARE interface, we allow users to post short comments which will be displayed in the public area. In this way, people in the community can see each other's ideas and increase their desire to share and communicate.Aa for the GROUP, we take refernce about the structure of that of douban.It could show users the groups they have joind and the ones they haven't join but may interested in.
Our different point is as obvious as the similar point. We are in the differnt direction that means that we have differnt subject to create our application. Just like said before, douban is more in line with the literary works such as book,movie, and music.Their garget users will be the people who love that.But our topics is gender equality education from early age,and there will be more parents, teachers and others who in touch with kids use our app.

From the perspective of education, this article discusses how educators, parents and communities should make efforts in the face of gender equality. The perspective of this article provides inspiration for our project. Our theme is "Promote gender equality from an early age through education, awareness". Although the protagonist is children, adults play a very important role in this process, especially those who come into contact with children every day, such as parents and teachers. Whether they know how to educate children correctly has a direct impact on children's views on this issue. Therefore, we believe that we should create relevant platforms to educate these adults on how to guide children about this topic correctly.
The movie tells the story of a couple of small things about meeting, falling in love, getting married and getting along after marriage, but the problems behind these small things are not small. It reveals the psychological misunderstanding that people often fall into when it comes to gender equality. As far as our topic is concerned, in the film, we can learn from the protagonist's growth background and mental process that many external factors in the process of a person's growth will affect his views and cognition of gender equality. This includes parents, all kinds of people and things we have come into contact with from childhood to adulthood, and the value orientation of the whole society for this issue. This film makes us realize that we have the responsibility to educate and appeal to more adults to pay attention to this issue, so that they can realize that some of their thoughts and behaviors will actually bring many adverse effects to children and may mislead their understanding of some problems.
This article points out that many parents have realized the importance of gender equality awareness to a child, but they do not know how to cultivate a child with gender equality awareness. It is also pointed out that incorrect education methods will mislead children's understanding of this issue, and provide some correct methods for parents to educate their children about gender equality. We got a lot of inspiration from it. It is not enough to make parents and other adults aware of this problem, because usually they have realized it, but lack of some scientific theories and methods to guide their practice. Therefore, we think we can create an app, like this article, to provide users with more resources to learn how to cultivate children's awareness of gender equality.
